Allen-Bradley SLC 500 Standard Training

Designed for the beginner who has little or no knowledge of the SLC Platform, the course introduces the student to the SLC platform, its I/O family, I/O structure and addressing. The course will cover memory layout and usage, setting up the RSLogix & RS Linx for use with the processors, configuration of a project, communications setup, basic programming fundamentals, how to monitor data and force bits for machine troubleshooting, and print reports for archival purposes.

Please note that if you don't cancel and don't attend you are still responsible for full payment. Student substitutions may be made at any time. Instructor:
Donnell Cooper II has over 20 years of Electrical System Design and PLC Program- ming experience. He has extensive experience with Allen-Bradley and GE Intelligent Platform (formerly GE Fanuc) PLC systems, including: SLC500, 5 Series, RXlogix & RS Linx software packages GE 90/30, 90/70, and Series 1, 3, and 5. He has been awarded multiple patents for PLC based appli- cations. His experience base includes: Wire Draw Systems, Boiler, Baghouse & Burner Systems, Conveyor Control & Traffic Management, Chemical Batch Processing, High Speed Assembly, Recipe Management & Control, Drive Systems & Web Control, Product Storage & Retrieval Systems, Tank Farms, Large Tonnage Low Temp Chiller Applications, Hydraulics & Pneumatics, and Simple Robotics.
